yo.
Sometimes I feel like there are people out there who aren’t happy unless they’re pissed off about something. One the one hand, I have to understand it, because I get like that sometimes—but not so constantly that it beats like a never-ending cadence to the march of unrest.
If I complain, I’m usually already pissy about something else.

Or maybe not. I don’t know how this shit works. But if you’re concerned about people finding you here, you might want to be aware.
NOOOOOOO

I’m gonna finally have some free time on my hands pretty soon. I’d like to spend some of that time really working on my writing and maybe even flexing some of my journalistic muscles (i.e. sending out some emails, making some phone calls, etc.,…).

It’s a weird personality quirk that I haven’t always had. It’s not a thing that happens 100% of the time, but I stay fairly throttled most of the time when excitement seems like a warranted reaction.

"facebook is exhausting."
I don’t know if this is a commentary on the user experience of Facebook or if I’m just getting jaded on the idea of having a digital hub for the social events of my friends, but the idea of keeping up with Facebook is just tiring.

on voice.
A few years ago, I thought I’d found my voice. I thought I had something to say.
Maybe I took my critics too seriously, maybe I listened to all the right critics. Whatever happened, I came to this conclusion:
I didn’t like what I was saying.
I was cynical. I was slightly misogynistic. I was COMPLAINING.
I hate complaining, and I hate hearing empty complaints.
